Adding mod support, and this would be long lived sucessful game. But it is abandoned.Multiple game breaking bugs were never fixed. There is a good chance that couple of cards will not work in game. E.g. Repair card never worked for me.There are minor UI issues. E.g. units scaling incorectly.Make a Hero System framework with DLC Campaigns and mod support, and this would be Huge IP on PC.. I really wanted to LOVE this game. It looks great, based on a board game that I like by a publisher that makes superb games but I just didnt get on with it. It all feels a little clunky and restrictive and constantly nags at you for making little mistakes. Shame really. It just didnt do it for me in the end due to the interface feeling too touch screen in the end and Im trying to play a PC game. This is an exercise in frustration. Some units take one hit to destory. Some units take two hits to destroy. Combat is resovled by rolling a six sided die and needing a certain number to hit. Grenades, for example, miss on 1-3 and hit on 4-6, so a 50% chance to hit. One hit equals death of a one-hit unit, reduction to one-hit side if a full-strength two-hit unit. So you have a full strangth an enemy unit is within firing range. If you use your guns, you'll hit on a 5 or 6. Your infantry can perform one action on their turn, and that assumes you have enough orders. You may have six units on the map but only able to issue orders to three of them. And if your unit having one of your orders dies before getting to perform its action, too bad. You've lost your order as well as your unit. So suppose you have a two-hit infantry unit and a half-strength machine gun unit defending in woods. (Machine guns at full-strength can take only 1 hit before being destroyed.) So in the previous turn, two enemy infantry move to point-blank range of your units. Great, easy pickings, right? Nope. Issue an order to your machine gun to take action first, then have your infantry unit perform an action. Oh, wait, the enemy fires first. So their unit staning in an open field at point blank range lobs a grenade at your machine gun, rolls a 5. Your machine gun is dead without being able to do a thing. The grenade also affects your infantry and they roll a 4 so it is reduced to its 1-hit side. But your infantry can now fire. So you fire your rifles at the enemy, needing a 3, 4, 5, or 6 to hit. Oh, look, a 2. No effect. Then the other enemy unit throws a grenade at your infantry, rolls a 4 and your infantry is destroyed as well. So your troops are dug in along a tree-line overlooking an open field. Enemy infantry fill the field in front of your units. Your machine gun just sits there watching this all happen as grenades rip them to pieces. Meanwhile, your infantry support, behind the shelter of the trees, can't inflict a single hit on the infantry standing around in the open field. What great fun.. Older game, reminds me of Advanced Wars so I gave it a chance. The game did not initially let me down. The controls work just how I hoped, and the cards added extra tactics to battle. While playing in the tutorial, I noticed that some of the cards do not work properly. Repair vehicle cards do not act when they are triggered. Everything is properly selected, click confirm, and a hollow clicking is heard as though something isn't working.Next came the zoom. Zoom became an issue after the tutorial ended. Scroll wheel wasn't letting the map zoom out far enough to see the map. little by little, the zoom got stuck closer in. When ending the first US campaign, the zoom got stuck so close I could only see a single square at a time. That's not a glitch. That's dehalibitating.I was on my last move, so I got done what I could based on how I remembered the layout of the map. Lost a secondary objective, but whatever. Hopefully next map resets it.Not a chance. Can't get to the next map. Staring at a card that's telling me I unlocked Brono, and neither the card's X nor the "click to procede" icon will clear the card from my screen. The cartoons between maps are pretty low brow humor, but it is entertaining. The gameplay is exactly what I've been looking for to scratch the "Advanced Wars" and "European Battlefield (Sega..)" itch from my childhood. Hopefully the issues they have, will be fixed. The maps are fun. Besides for the glitches, I would like to see an "end mission" button when the main objective is finished, so you can continue to play for secondary objectives. Sometimes the secondafry objectives are out of the way, and I find myself accidentally finishing the mian objective, on my way to secondaries.. I played the board game with a friend and I was looking forward to play the game on my PC. I am a fan of strategy game and the game met my expectation. Dice can be very frustrating to non-boardgamers but devs have implemented a new mode that ease the dice luck factor and get newbies in the game in a smoother way. Lot of content to be played, Boardgamers, as I am, will not be disappointed.. Wow, unless you're a complete glutton for punishment; stay AWAY from this game! The computer almost always hits and kills you every time it shoots and you maybe (on a good day) have a 1/3 chance of wounding them. Example: I have a Sherman tank going through the bocage. There is a panzershrek unit literally next to me; I fire my main cannon and a .30 cal and the .50cal machineguns..........miss with everything. The panzershrek fires once and obliterates my tank in one hit. The computer forces start in prime firing positions; forcing you to rely on pure luck to survive the initial barrage of rockets, rifles and MG fire. Guess what? You won't survive.Instead of buying and playing this game; I recommend using a hammer on your genitals, it's much more enjoyable and you'll hit what you aim at!
